History Of Worst Pandemics

The world histories since World War I have seen many pandemics that have been a cause of severe devastations & destruction. One of the most dangerous ones is HIV or AIDS. A pandemic that originated from West Africa from Chimpanzees was declared incurable and is transmitted from physical contact.  Since it came there have been a huge number of campaigns linked to the awareness of the pandemic AIDS to have precautionary measures while making physical contacts and other social contacts. COVID-19, the medical terminology for Coronavirus is the latest of the pandemics that have been a cause of severe pains and destruction to modern society. Originated initially from Wuhan a province in China from an animal market and has literally shaken the world. The virus has caused many deaths, especially in Europe and the USA. Dented the economies of many nations, been a cause of lockdowns, and has affected highly the tourism industry and travel.   

Even though the medical science is far more equipped to take precautions against any pandemic and to fight against the virus. Still, many countries especially the developing world is lagging far behind in terms of medical knowledge. Ebola is yet another most recent epidemic that originated from West Africa from 2014 to 2016. The pandemic has been the cause of many reported cases and deaths since it came on the world’s focus in 2014.

Other pandemics that has been a cause of devastation to the world in history are Asian flu, Swine Flu, Ebola epidemic, Zika Virus, Spanish Flu, American Polio Epidemic, The flu pandemic, The Russian plague, & The Great Plague of Marseilles. Most of they have affected the United States and Europe, and some of them have originated from West Africa and devastated Africa and other parts of the World.
